what to wear for your couples photo session ?
Here are 5 tips to help you choose you and your partners outfit for your upcoming shoot :)
Whether it's an engagement shoot, anniversary shoot , or any random couple shoot, a question I get asked a lot is , what should we wear ? Don't worry I've got you in this one guys!!! Follow the following tips and this will help you to find the perfect outfit for your upcoming session.
- Neutral colours
This is the first things I say to my clients, wear neutral coloured clothes . You don't wanna wear super bright colours, the main focus should be in the emotions and connection, not the clothes. Also avoid large visible logos, on your clothes. Here are some examples of neutral colours below.
- Match the Location/ Weather
If we are shooting on a windy day in wellington, wearing a jacket or layered clothing would suit the best. Choose an outfit according to the location and current season/weather. Most of my shoots are done, out in the beautiful nature. For example if the location is a beach, wearing high-heels might not be the best. The important thing is to feel confident and comfortable in your clothes during the shoot.
- Coordinate
Coordinate, don't match! Rather than both wearing same coloured outfits, try wearing clothes that compliment each other. To get the best match try finding a colour palette you like and matching your outfits to that.
- Try them on..
Ok, you have selected your outfit, next make sure to try it on before the shoot. Make sure it fits correctly and
compliments your body type.
- Be yourself
The last and most important tip, just be yourself! Its your day, your love story. Wear something that represents you. You know yourself what style, clothes makes you look good, and make you confident in. Wear that hat you always wanted in your photos if you want to. Time to show who you really are!
